Safety Screens & Barriers
As required under BS EN 16005:2023, AliMet design, manufacture and install automatic door safety screens, pocket screens and safety barriers to help create a safe routes through automatic entrance doors.
These help guide pedestrian traffic away from moving door leaves, reducing the risk of contact.
Safety barriers should be designed and positioned to suit the specific entrance and relevant safety requirements. This can include barriers at least 900mm high, positioned at 90 degrees to the door, with appropriate spacing to prevent the passage of objects through the barrier.
